The HGTV show Canada’s Handyman Challenge is a reality show contest that brings together Canadian handymen and women from coast to coast to compete for the title of Canada’s Top Handyman! The show has a reality star studded cast, including Mike Holmes, Bryan Baeumler, and Scott McGillivray as the judges, and bachelorette Jillian Harris as the host.
What does this have to do with 270 Sherman you ask?
270 Sherman was the location where Canada’s Handyman Challenge shot their final 4 episodes. The production first went to Vancouver, Halifax, and Toronto, and then brought the top 4 contestants from each location to Hamilton to battle it out for the title. The contestants were given 9 different challenges while they were here, and the pool of contestants got smaller and smaller throughout the week. They competed in various areas of the building, including the main centre courtyard, the 3rd Floor Mill, and the Storehouse Building. The production was filmed over a hot week in August of 2011, and the show premiered on HGTV in January 2012.
270 Sherman would like to thank HGTV and Canada’s Handyman Challenge for choosing our location for this great show, and we would be thrilled to have them come back for Season 2!
